Thanks to our friends at the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, Mark Crilley will return to the Abilene Public Library for another great program. As an American manga creator, artist & children's book author/illustrator, he'll be on hand talk about his works and show off his skills to guests.

Abilene Cultural Affairs Council & the Children's Art & Literacy Festival
Gear up for the 6th Annual CALF extravaganza, honoring children's author/illustrator Garth Williams. Designed to emphasize the importance Abilene has on families, art and literacy, this series draws in an amazing crowd who come out to celebrate in downtown Abilene. Characters from Charlotte's Web & Stuart Little will be coming out on Saturday, May 6 to meet kids & families.
The Barony of Skywatch
Returning for a second year, this live action role playing group will be on hand to discuss what they do, show off their swordplay techniques, as well as allow you to learn a few skills as well. LARPing is popular in Abilene, so come learn about what this local group is all about.
Comic Books
Comics & Collectibles | Larry Sabin
In association with Free Comic Book Day, Comics & Collectibles is responsible for an ongoing partnership with the Abilene Public Library to supply us with selected comic book titles to offer to the public on the first Saturday in May.

An annual promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers to comic books and stores. Lib-Con was established to coincide with this annual event hosted on the first Saturday in May and we provide free comics to visitors at all library branches while supplies last.
The Gathering Place
Abilene's premier gaming store when looking for the best in collectible card games, tabletop games, board games, miniatures, and so much more including Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Vanguard, and My Little Pony, to name a few. Having been a regular presence at Lib-Con, don't pass up on your chance to be a part of the fun.
London Express
Making its debut at Lib-Con this year will be a great local food truck bringing you authentic British food served up by a real life Brit. From their signature Beer Battered Fish and Chips to bangers and mash, you'll not want snagging some great eats from them on the final day of Lib-Con.
National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature
Our friends at the NCCIL will be aiding in the festivities of Lib-Con by hosting free events featuring graphic novel artist/author Mark Crilley, who will present at both the Main Library and the NCCIL on Friday and Saturday at Lib-Con. Don't miss your chance to take advantage of this special visit.

As a familiar face at Lib-Con, they'll be back with their award-winning burgers that always sell out at Lib-Con. With a great lineup of signature burgers including The Nutty Professor, B-1 Bacon Bomber, the Southern Fried Beauty, and more, they'll be a great lunch option on the final day of Lib-Con.
