Download and print out a copy of our Exhibitor Registration Form. All interested businesses must submit a completed form to be included in the exhibitor area. Exhibitors with submitted forms will be featured on the Lib-Con website to promote to the community. | Download Exhibitor Policies
General Information
Each Exhibitor will have one (8-ft long x 2-ft wide) table. There is limited space so booths will be sold on a first-come first-served basis. You will need to provide your own table skirting. Signs and banners may be hung on the front of the table, but large stands or obtrusive fixtures will not be allowed.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Abilene Public Library. There is no guarantee electrical outlets will be available.
Each Exhibitor will be charged $10.00 and 5% of the exhibitor's proceeds. All money from Exhibitor fees will be given to the Friends of the Abilene Public Library. $10.00 is due at the time of registration and 5% of proceeds is due before leaving the Exhibitor area for the day.  Non-profit exhibitors will not have to pay the 5% fee.
The Exhibitor area will be open on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Main Library located at 202 Cedar St. Exhibitors may set up that day, no earlier than 8:30AM and must be completed by 10AM.
Exhibitors may cancel up to 30 days before the start of the event (May 6, 2017) to receive a full refund. After April 17, 2017, no refunds will be offered. Abilene Public Library reserves the right to cancel and issue a full refund for any reason prior to one week before the event (April 29, 2017).

Merchandise Quality Control
Exhibitors may not sell or display age-restricted or adult materials including art, films, videos, or promotional items. Questionable items will be determined by Library Staff.

Exhibitors must abide by our Lib-Con Weapons Policy, outlined below.


  • No real firearms (replica, antique or otherwise) will be allowed.
  • "NERF," air soft, paintball and water guns with the firing mechanism disabled will be allowed. No "puffs of air" or other discharge should be detected upon testing.
  • Bows must not be fully strung and demonstrate to be unable to fire projectiles.

Bladed Weapons:

  • Weapons with a metal blade (sharpened or not) will not be allowed.
  • All bladed weapons must be dull to the touch regardless of the material they are made of.

Blunt Force Weapons:

  • Real blunt force weapons including, but not limited to, blackjacks, nightsticks, maces, and tomahawks will not be allowed.
Abilene Public Library reserves the right to ask any Exhibitor to remove any product that is deemed defective, offensive, inappropriate, or has received multiple complaints.
Although we strive to provide a safe, secure environment, the Abilene Public Library is not responsible for damage to, or loss of property, equipment, or personal vehicles. We strongly recommend that you provide customers with receipts to avoid potential disputes.
In Abilene, TX, the applicable state and local sales tax rate is 8.25%. Please submit a copy of your Texas Tax Certificate with the Exhibitor Registration Form and payment, if applicable.
